You've probably heard of NaturTrust Space, but what exactly is it? I'm going to explain the history of this organization and how you can help protect nature and wilderness for future generations.
NaturTrust is a non-profit organization that protects wilderness and promotes community involvement. NaturTrust was formed in 2003, and has protected over 1,000 acres of wilderness since then.
They're based in Santa Monica, California but have projects across the country. Their goal is to protect land for future generations to enjoy by helping communities find innovative ways to use the land while protecting it from development or pollution.
In 2003, NaturTrust Space was formed as a coalition of civic and environmental organizations and government agencies who joined together to protect a 1,000 acre parcel of land in the Santa Monica Mountains. This land is now open to the public as part of a larger park system that includes many other protected areas along with trails throughout Los Angeles County.
